Our Story

Cooking has been a passion for Chef Albert Hernandez since a very young age. Growing up in a single mother home in Phoenix, Chef Albert was instilled with grit and a strong work ethic. He deeply admired his mother’s culinary creativity and ingenuity as she would create elaborate meals out of seemingly nothing on a shoe-string budget. The joy that he and his brothers experienced when his mother would cook is what eventually drove his desire to become a Chef. It is this same feeling of home cooked happiness that Chef strives to provide with every traditional Mexican dish he curates at Tacos and Mas.
